Fourth Monk “Bad”

Fourth Monk mixes Ludacris and Nicki Minaj’s “Bad” track to form it into his own. The artist that plans to get on this track can go in many directions with the flow. There is so much flavor to the beat that I wouldn’t be surprised if a trap soul artist hops on this one. The rolling high hats are pretty prominent along with the snare drums and the squeaky bed sounds.

When the instrumental starts, Fourth Monk doesn’t give you everything but there is an airy insight until the beat drops and then comes an instant head bob. The transitions through the beat are smooth and effortless. I mean “Bad” was a hot song and this sample just makes it even harder. Ludacris’ lyrics dominate majority of the track but you can still hear some of Nicki’s verse in the background.

Overall this is a very creative and solid beat. The beat is so versatile that I’m not sure what category to put it in. I guess, we will have to wait and see. Solid work, Fourth Monk.
