Trapfone “813” Directed by Freddy Marschall

Betty Dawl, singer for the musical duo Trapfone, croons on the opener to their new music video, “What’s going on in the world today?” The intro seems like the perfect way to start off a music video that is rife with good vibes. Life is good, life is beautiful, and everything it could possibly be through the eyes of Trapfone. The fact that she manages to represent her philosophy towards life, while simultaneously representing her city through the hook, “Hit me on my line, 813,” is quite the impressive feat.

The music video is an excellent companion with the song and almost breathes new life into the tune. We follow Betty Dawl around the city as she sings the lyrics and dances along. Various shots focus around areas in Tampa, showing off the beautiful 813. These are the kinds of music videos/songs that Tampa and Central Florida needs. Watching this video makes me WANT to be in Tampa and closer to the burgeoning music scene. Absolutely beautiful. Take a look at Trapfone’s, “813,” and catch some infectious Tampa vibes.
